IMPERFECT DISCIPLE
That's how I feel most days. Like I'm not living up to God's expectations. But then I remember, He doesn't expect. He doesn't judge. He just wants me to trust Him and come as I am… an imperfect disciple.
But ten years ago, I would have rolled my eyes at the thought of putting my trust in God. I was in control of my life. It was me who moved from a small town in South Texas to New York City, and later to Spain. It was me who rose up the ranks of some of the biggest media brands in the world.
I did that.
Then it all crashed and burned. And after a lot of kicking and screaming, I decided to try something different.
I surrendered. And everything changed.
That story became Bad Catholic, my memoir, currently on submission to literary agents.
